Ukrainian Night. Code of Freedom: 1 000 000 UAH to help Ukraine
This September 13, the event “Ukrainian Night. Code of Freedom” took place as a part of the global conference NEARCON 2022. Ukrainian electro-folk band ONUKA became the headliner.
From September 11 to 14, Lisbon (Portugal) is hosting one of the most global blockchain conferences of the year. At NEARCON, developers from all over the world share their experience and get to discover more than 700 startups created on the basis of the NEAR ecosystem. The NEAR Ukraine regional hub, created in April this year, also presented its projects for the first time.
A special event from the conference was “Ukrainian Night. Code of Freedom,” where each participant learned about Ukraine and its unique culture, style, cuisine, and music. They became witnesses to the ‘code of freedom’ that is now helping Ukrainians across the country. 100% of ticket sales go to UNITED24, and Help Kharkiv, a charitable foundation by SIGMA SOFTWARE and IdeaSoft which helps residents of Kharkiv who have suffered from Russian aggression.
The total from the ticket sales amounted to more than 25,000 euros. Half of these funds will be used for the purchase of modular external fixators, which are desparatly needed by Ukrainian hospitals. The other half will be used for the purchase of heaters, food and hygiene products to prepare for winter the districts of the Kharkiv region cut off from civilization.
