Over $166 Million in Donations, Imagine Dragons as Ambassadors, and the First Helicopter: UNITED24 Reports on Three Months of Activity

In July, new ambassadors joined UNITED24: three-time Golden Globe nominated actor, Liev Schreiber, one of the world’s most famous bands, Imagine Dragons, and the Artistic Director of the legendary fashion house Balenciaga, Demna. The total amount of charitable donations exceeded $166,000,000 (over 6 billion UAH). Professional military drones, the first acquisition made under the Army of Drones Project, went to the frontline.

“The third month of UNITED24 activity is marked by the launch of a goal-oriented fundraiser,” said the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. “Its effectiveness is illustrated by both the Army of Drones Project, as well as the ambulances fundraiser that was initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska. Over 755 million UAH has been raised to buy UAVs for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and, in just five days, 200 million UAH was collected towards procuring C-class ambulances . It is important that people know how their money is being spent. And, if they understand the goal of the fundraiser, it is successful.”

Thanks to the Army of Drones Project, we have purchased 78 Matrice multicopters, 20 Fly Eye 3.0 drones, and two Warmate systems with 40 attack drones. Olena Zelenska’s fundraiser under the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, will allow the procurement of more than 50 vehicles; 24 top-class ambulances are already on their way to Ukraine.

Apart from drones and ambulances, the funds raised via UNITED24 were used to purchase an MI-2AM helicopter. This model is a multi-purpose air transport, which is used primarily to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield. It is capable of transporting 2 severely wounded persons alongside 3 medics, but can alternatively move cargo weighing up to 1,200 kg. All of this over a distance of up to 600 km, at a speed of up to 200 km/h, helping people in critical condition get to the hospital in time.

During the third month since the platform’s launch, the Ministry of Health has purchased 12 expert-class C-arm X-ray machines, 9 X-ray transparent operating tables, and 83 anesthesia machines.

Ukrainian doctors will also receive ALV devices for children’s hospitals. These funds were raised during the charity matches organized by the world tennis no.1, Iga Świątek: $191,000 came from ticket sales, and a check for $100,000 from the New York Jets Foundation was presented by the Johnson family. Brick and Jack Johnson, the heirs to the pharmaceutical company, Johnson & Johnson, personally visited Kraków for this.

The Qatar Fund For Development also made a contribution to help Ukrainian doctors: $5,000,000 was used to purchase reanimobiles and anesthetic machines that provide inhalation anesthesia during surgical procedures in medical facilities. The Medical Aid direction has also been empowered by new ambassadors, actor Liev Schreiber, and the band Imagine Dragons .

The Rebuild Ukraine direction also received star support: Demna, the creative director of Balenciaga, became its ambassador. The fashion house has designed a special T-shirt; the net profits from its sale will be transferred to the restoration of infrastructure in Ukraine. It is available at united24-demna.balenciaga.com .
